Wilbert Francisco Cobbs, known professionally as Bill Cobbs, a celebrated actor with an illustrious career spanning decades, has passed away at the age of 90. Cobbs, a prominent Black American actor, left an indelible mark on the entertainment industry with over 150 film and television appearances.

Born in Cleveland in 1934, Cobbs served in the Air Force for eight years before pursuing a career in acting. He is widely recognized for his roles in iconic films such as "The Hitter" (1979), "The Bodyguard" (1992), "Demolition Man" (1993), "Air Bud" (1997), and "That Thing You Do!" (1996).

In addition to his film work, Cobbs also had notable roles in television shows including "The Cosby Show," "ER," and "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian" (2009). His exceptional talent earned him numerous accolades, including a Daytime Emmy Award for his performance in the 2003 film "The True Story of Ida B. Wells."
